According to Dallas Hoops Journal, if LeBron James becomes a free agent after the 2025–26 season, the Golden State Warriors, Cleveland Cavaliers and Dallas Mavericks would be prepared to compete to sign him.
The forward, who will turn 41 in December, has played for the Los Angeles Lakers since 2018, joining them after leaving the Cavaliers as an unrestricted free agent. He helped the Lakers win the NBA championship in 2020.
Earlier, reporter Dave McMenamin said that James intends to chase titles until the very end of his career and will closely watch the Lakers’ staff decisions.
