
21-year-old French center Victor Wembanyama of the San Antonio Spurs set a new NBA record after the first three games of the 2025-26 season.
The player, who was the first overall pick in the 2023 draft, became the first in league history to score over 100 points and record more than 15 blocks in the first three games of a season. During this stretch, he totaled 100 points and 18 rebounds.
In the first game, the Spurs crushed the Dallas Mavericks 125-92, with Wembanyama scoring 40 points and having three blocks. In the second game, San Antonio defeated the New Orleans Pelicans 120-116 in overtime, with the Frenchman contributing 29 points and nine blocks. In the third game on October 26, the Spurs beat the Brooklyn Nets 118-107, as Wembanyama finished with 31 points and six blocks.
