British boxer Chris Billam-Smith defeated Lawrence Okolie to win the WBO cruiserweight title on May 27 in Bournemouth, UK.
The bout went the full 12-round distance, with the judges giving Smith the win with scores of 116-107, 115-108 and 112-112.
Smith, 32, had a previous fight in December 2022 against Armend Xhoxhaj. In that fight, Chris won by knockout in the fifth round. In total, he has 18 wins (12 by KO) and one loss.
Okolie, 30, defeated David Light in March 2023 by unanimous decision. He has 19 wins (14 by knockout) and one loss.
