American boxer Terence Crawford has revealed what fee he will receive for his fight with Mexican Saul “Canelo” Alvarez, which is scheduled to take place on September 13 in Las Vegas (USA).
For context, it is rumored that Canelo will earn around $100-150 million for the same fight.
I got $10 million for that [Canelo] fight. Do you think I'm lying? How do you know that's a lie? I'm doing it for the opportunity, baby, the legacy. The legacy outweighs the money. Three-time undisputed, ooo-wee coming soon.
Alvarez last stepped into the ring against William Scull in May of this year in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. That fight lasted the entire distance and ended in favor of Saul by unanimous decision. He has 63 wins (39 by knockout), two losses and two draws.
Crawford last fought against Israil Madrimov in August 2024. In that fight, Terence won by unanimous decision of the judges and won the WBA world title and the WBO super welterweight belt. He has 41 wins (31 by knockout) and no losses.
