Dubois Parts Ways With Trainer After Loss To Usyk In Rematch

Former IBF world heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois has ended his partnership with trainer Don Charles after losing to Ukrainian boxer Oleksandr Usyk.

According to The Mirror, Dubois holds Charles responsible for the defeat and plans to offer a contract to Tony Sims, who formerly trained Anthony Joshua.

In July 2025 at Wembley Stadium in London, Usyk and Dubois met in a rematch with the undisputed world championship on the line. The fight ended with the Ukrainian winning by knockout in the fifth round.

Dubois’s professional record stands at 22 wins (21 by knockout) and three losses.
