Mexican boxer Saul Alvarez, who is scheduled to face Terence Crawford on September 13 in Las Vegas, responded to UFC lightweight champion Ilia Topuria's wish to fight him under boxing rules.

Topuria's last fight was against Charles Oliveira in June at UFC 317, where he won by first-round knockout to claim the UFC lightweight title. His record stands at 17 wins and no losses.
Alvarez last fought William Zepeda in May this year, a bout that ended in a unanimous decision in Alvarez's favor. His record is 63 wins (39 by knockout), two losses and two draws.
