Finnish Boxer Helenius Announces Retirement

Finnish boxer Robert Helenius has announced his retirement from professional boxing. The 41-year-old said he will not return to the ring after serving a two-year ban for an anti-doping rule violation.

Robert Helenius for Uusimaa
I no longer want to train twice a day. It’s time to move on. Although, if I receive a very good offer, I will consider it.

Helenius failed a doping test the day before his fight with Anthony Joshua in August 2023. The bout went ahead, and Helenius was knocked out in the seventh round. His professional record stands at 32 wins (21 by knockout) and five losses.
