WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury published a photo of the cut, because of which he dropped out of the fight against WBA, WBO, IBF and IBO world champion Oleksandr Usyk.
Recall that the fight for the title of undisputed heavyweight world champion between Fury and Usyk was to be held on February 17 in Saudi Arabia.
Fury last fought against Francis Ngannou in October 2023. Tyson won that fight by split decision of the judges. He has 34 wins (24 by knockout), one draw and no losses.
Usyk was last in the ring against Daniel Dubois in August 2023. Oleksandr won that fight by knockout in the ninth round. He has 21 wins (14 by knockout) without a single defeat.
