Former IBF, WBA, WBO, and IBO heavyweight world champion Anthony Joshua has addressed the criticism directed at him following his fight against Jake Paul.
Anthony Joshua for talkSPORT
I deserve it because we are elite fighters. If I put myself in the shoes of a coach, if my fighter did six rounds with Jake Paul, I would get him back in the gym tomorrow, give him a bit of a beating, and get straight back to work.
On December 20, Joshua defeated Paul via technical knockout in the sixth round.
In his previous bout in September 2024, Joshua lost by knockout to Daniel Dubois in the fifth round. Anthony's record now stands at 29 wins (26 by knockout) and four losses.
Paul's previous fight was against Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. in June of this year in Anaheim, where Jake won by unanimous decision. The match against Joshua marked the first time Paul has lost by stoppage. He now has 12 wins (seven by knockout) and two losses.
