I Don’t Like To Fight Guys Like Scull, They Came To Just Survive to the Final Round: Canelo Alvarez

Mexican undisputed world champion Saul Alvarez, who defeated William Scull on April 4, shares his thoughts on his upcoming fight against undefeated American Terence Crawford.

Saul Alvarez
I don't like to fight those kinds of guys. They came to just survive to the final round. That's why I don't like to fight them. It won't be that kind of fight [against Crawford]. He moved even more than we thought. But it's OK. We won. We're here. Crawford is one of the best out there, and, you know, I like to share the ring with that kind of fighter. It's my pleasure.

Saul Alvarez last stepped into the ring in September 2024, winning by unanimous decision against Edgar Berlanga. His professional record has 63 wins (39 by knockout), two losses, and two draws.

William Scull last fought in October 2024, winning against Vladimir Shishkin by unanimous decision. He holds a record of 23 wins (nine by knockout) and one loss.
