IBF Orders Bivol to Defend Title Against Eifert

The International Boxing Federation (IBF) has mandated that Dmitry Bivol defend his light heavyweight title against mandatory challenger Michael Eifert.

“Finally, finally, finally!” Eifert responded to the IBF's decision.

Bivol, who holds the WBA, IBF, and WBO light heavyweight titles, last fought in February 2025, where he won a majority decision against Artur Beterbiev. His record now stands at 24 victories (12 by knockout) and one defeat.

Eifert last stepped into the ring in August 2024, where he defeated Carlos Eduardo Jimenez. He currently holds a record of 13 wins (five by knockout) and one loss.
