IOC Rejects Manny Pacquiao's Bid For Paris Olympics

The International Olympic Committee has published its final decision regarding the potential participation of 45-year-old Manny Pacquiao in the boxing tournament at the Paris Olympics.

It is worth mentioning that Pacquiao announced his desire to compete in the Olympics last summer. In October, this initiative was supported by the Philippine Olympic Committee, which sent a corresponding request to the IOC.

However, according to Olympic regulations, the maximum age for boxers since 2013 has been set at 40. Yesterday, the IOC announced that they have no intention of changing these rules.

Pacquiao, who is 45 years old, last stepped into the ring for an exhibition bout against blogger DK Yoo in December 2022. Manny won the fight by unanimous decision. In his professional boxing career, he has 62 victories (39 by knockout), eight losses, and two draws.
