It Seems Like He Walked Out to the Ring Just Recently: Kudryashov on Hatton’s Death

Famous Russian boxer Dmitry Kudryashov commented in an exclusive interview with Telecomasia.net on the news of the death of former two‑weight world champion Ricky Hatton.

Ricky Hatton is remembered by the Russian people for his fight with Kostya Tszyu. It’s hard to take in news like this. It seems like he walked out to the ring just recently. I watched that fight live. And only recently it was said that he was planning a comeback and was in good shape.

Ricky Hatton died on September 14. He was 46. He fought his last bout in November 2012, losing to Vyacheslav Senchenko by knockout in the ninth round. His record stands at 45 wins (32 by knockout) and three losses.
