Let’s Make Our Fight That Never Happened: Khan Challenges Pacquiao

Former world champion in the light-welterweight division, British boxer Amir Khan, stated he is ready to return to the ring for a fight against Filipino boxer Manny Pacquiao.

Previously, a fight between Pacquiao and Khan had been scheduled for April 2017, but their match never took place.

I’m up for one final dance, but only with you as my partner. You’re still talking rematch with Floyd? Let’s make our fight that never happened. This is the only one that gets me out of retirement— it’s what the fans always wanted.

Pacquiao last fought against WBC welterweight world champion Mario Barrios in July of this year. The fight ended in a majority draw decision. Manny’s record stands at 62 wins (39 by knockout), eight losses, and three draws.

Khan’s last fight was against Kell Brook in February 2022, where Amir suffered a technical knockout loss in the sixth round. His record is 34 wins (21 by knockout) and six losses.
