IBF lightweight world champion, 37-year-old Ukrainian boxer Vasiliy Lomachenko announced the end of his professional career on social networks.

I’m grateful for every victory and defeat inside the ring and outside the ring. I’m thankful that as my career comes to an end, I've gained clarity about the direction a person must take in order to achieve true victory, not just in the ring.
Lomachenko last fought against George Cambosos in May 2024. Vasyl won that fight in the 11th round by technical knockout and won the IBF lightweight championship belt.
Lomachenko made his professional ring debut in October 2013. Then he faced Mexican boxer Jose Luis Ramirez Garcia. That fight ended in favor of Vasiliy by knockout. He has 18 wins (12 by knockout) and three defeats on his record.
