Most Valuable Promotions (MVP), the boxing promotion owned by social media personality Jake Paul, may reschedule its next boxing event, originally slated for November 14, according to The Ring.
Per the publication, the organizers are considering two new dates: December 12 and December 19.
The uncertainty stems from the situation surrounding Gervonta Davis, whose name appears in a lawsuit filed in Miami. Davis was previously charged with assaulting a woman at Tootsie’s Cabaret strip club. As a result, MVP has started seeking alternative opponents for the boxing card.
Paul last fought Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. in June in Anaheim, winning by unanimous decision. His professional boxing record stands at 12 wins (seven by knockout) and one loss.
Davis last stepped into the ring in March in Brooklyn against Lamont Roach. That bout ended in a majority draw. Gervonta’s record currently stands at 30 wins (28 by knockout), one draw, and no losses.
