Naoya Inoue Claims Boxer of the Year Title in Japan for Seventh Time

30-year-old Japanese boxer Naoya Inoue has been named the best boxer in Japan in2023. Last year, Inoue became the undisputed world champion in the super bantamweight division, defeating Stephen Fulton and Marlon Tapales.

Inoue has been recognized as the boxer of the year in Japan for the seventh time by the local association of sports journalists and the country's boxing federation.

Inoue is set to step into the ring next against Mexican representative Luis Nery during a boxing night scheduled for May 6th in Tokyo, Japan. In his professional boxing career, Naoya holds a record of 26 wins (23 by knockout) and no losses.
