Ngannou Explains Why He Wants Usyk To Lose To Fury

Former UFC heavyweight division champion Francis Ngannou has spoken out about the upcoming fight between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk for the title of undisputed world champion in the heavyweight division. The bout will take place on February 17 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Queensberry Promotions quotes Ngannou as saying:

Speaking from myself, I will still say Tyson Fury. Obviously I’m not counting Usyk out. I know he can win this fight. He has a very good chance maybe even. But I still go for Tyson, and I still want him to win to see him for that rematch.

The 35-year-old Fury last fought against Francis Ngannou in October 2023. In this confrontation Tyson won by a split decision of judges. He has 34 wins (24 by knockout), one draw and no losses.

37-year-old Usyk last entered the ring in August 2023, defeating Daniel Dubois by knockout in the ninth round. He has 21 wins (14 by knockout) without a single defeat.
