Bidding will now begin for the Frank Sanchez versus Daniel Dubois fight, which will determine the mandatory challenger for the IBF world title.
Negotiations between the fighters’ camps lasted several weeks, but the parties failed to reach an agreement by the IBF’s October 22 deadline. As a result, the International Boxing Federation has scheduled a promoter auction for November 13. The winning bidder will secure the rights to organize the fight.
Dubois last fought in July against Oleksandr Usyk, suffering a fifth-round knockout defeat. His professional record stands at 22 wins (21 by knockout) and 3 losses.
Sanchez last stepped into the ring in February against Ramon Olivas Echeverria, winning by third-round technical knockout. His record currently reads 25 wins (18 by knockout) and 1 loss.
