Ronda Doesn't Belong Anywhere Near a Boxing Ring: Cyborg on Potential Rousey vs. Taylor Fight

Former Bellator champion Cristiane Justino, known as Cris Cyborg, expressed doubt that a potential boxing match between Ronda Rousey and undisputed junior welterweight world champion Katie Taylor will actually happen.

It was previously announced that Rousey and Taylor may meet in the ring in 2026.

I once saw Ronda Rousey shadow boxing and her shadow won! Zero chance she fights boxing. Maybe a return to the cage for a Gina Carano fight... but Ronda doesn't belong anywhere near a boxing ring.

Rousey last stepped into the octagon against the Brazilian Amanda Nunes in December 2016 at UFC 207. That fight, which was stopped in the first round, ended in a loss for Ronda by technical knockout. Her MMA record stands at 12 wins and two losses.

Taylor last fought Amanda Serrano in July 2025. In that bout, Katie won by majority decision. Her professional boxing record is 25 wins (six by knockout) and one loss.
