Tim Tszyu knocks out Tony Harrison to become interim WBO super welterweight champion of the world

Russian-born Australian boxer Tim Tszyu defeated American Tony Harrison to become interim WBO super welterweight world champion.

It ended in the ninth round, with Tszyu shaking his opponent and then hammering him with uppercuts near the ropes. Harrison stood up, but the referee deemed that he could not continue the fight.

In his last fight last March, Tszyu defeated Terrell Gausha by unanimous decision. Tim, 28, has 21 wins (15 by KO) and no losses.

Harrison defeated Sergio Garcia by unanimous decision in April 2022. Tony, 32, has 29 wins (21 by KO), three losses and one draw.
