Russian light heavyweight Dmitry Bivol, holder of the WBO, WBA, IBF, and IBO titles, is undergoing an intensive rehabilitation program following back surgery and is expected to return to the ring in the first quarter of 2026, according to boxing analyst Mike Coppinger on The Ring broadcast.
Given the severity of the injury, Dmitry will likely begin with a moderately difficult fight at catchweight.
Bivol last fought Arthur Beterbiev in February 2025, winning by majority decision to become the undisputed light heavyweight world champion. His record stands at 24 wins (12 by knockout) and one loss.
