WBA to Reassess Ranking After Controversy Over Jake Paul

The World Boxing Association (WBA) is facing criticism after including popular blogger Jake Paul in its rankings. Now, the association plans to review his status at the upcoming conference.

Due to heavy criticism and outrage from other ranked contenders, the WBA will review Jake Paul's cruiserweight ranking at their upcoming European convention in Madrid, scheduled for July 15-18.

Recall that in June 2025, Jake Paul won a unanimous decision against Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., after which he was ranked 14th in the WBA cruiserweight division. Paul has a professional record of 12 wins (seven by knockout) and one loss.
