WBC Champion Adames Says He Will Fight WBO and IBF Titleholder Alimkhanuly

WBC middleweight world champion  from the Dominican Republic has announced that a deal is nearly finalized for a fight against Kazakh boxer Janibek Alimkhanuly, who holds the WBO and IBF titles.

Adames last fought in February 2025 against Hamzah Sheeraz. The bout went the full 12 rounds and ended in a split draw. Carlos currently has a record of 24 wins (18 by knockout), 1 loss, and 1 draw.

Janibek Alimkhanuly's most recent fight was in April 2025, where he won by technical knockout in the fifth round against Anauel Ngamissengue. He remains undefeated with 17 wins (12 by knockout).
