The World Boxing Council has ordered undisputed light‑welterweight world champion Katie Taylor to begin negotiations for a title defense against WBC interim champion Chantelle Cameron.
Taylor and Cameron met for a second time in the ring in November 2023. In that fight Katie won by majority decision.
Their first meeting took place in May 2023 and ended in favor of Chantelle by majority decision. Cameron’s record is 21 wins with eight knockouts and one loss. Taylor’s record is 25 wins with six knockouts and one loss.
