Crash: Doohan Could Become Haas Reserve Driver for Formula 1 2026 Season

According to Crash citing the Pit Pass F1 podcast, Australian racing driver Jack Doohan is considering a move to the American Formula 1 team MoneyGram Haas as a reserve driver for the 2026 season.

Notably, 22-year-old Doohan started the current 2025 season with another F1 team, the French BWT Alpine, but after the sixth round, the Miami Grand Prix, he was replaced by Argentine Franco Colapinto, having scored no points in the drivers’ standings. On September 28, PlanetF1 reported that the Australian might return to Alpine as a main driver.

In the 2025 season, Haas is represented by French driver Esteban Ocon and British driver Oliver Bearman. After eighteen rounds, Ocon has 28 points, ranking fifteenth in the drivers’ championship, while Bearman has 16 points, sitting in nineteenth place.
