The British newspaper Daily Mail disclosed the compensation amount received by a former Red Bull employee, who wished to remain anonymous, in exchange for dropping allegations of misconduct against former Austrian team principal Christian Horner. The woman agreed to end the legal proceedings after reaching the settlement.
Sources close to the matter report that the former employee will receive £3 million (about €3.5 million). Other details of the agreement have not been disclosed.
Horner, who was leading the racing team, was accused by the employee in early February 2024. Following an internal investigation, Red Bull found Horner not guilty.
Christian Horner left the Austrian team, which he had led since its founding in 2005, in early July. The 51-year-old is expected to return to Formula 1 next year.
Earlier, GPblog reported that Horner received $70.2 million in compensation after leaving Red Bull.
