Former Formula 1 Driver Sutil Arrested on Suspicion of Fraud

Former Formula 1 driver Adrian Sutil has been detained as part of an international special operation on suspicion of fraudulent activities and theft. Bild reports this news.

The details of the investigation have not yet been disclosed. Sutil was previously in the spotlight in 2011 due to an incident in a Shanghai nightclub where Eric Lux, an executive at the Lotus team, was injured.

Sutil holds the Formula 1 record for the most Grand Prix starts without a single podium finish (128 races).

As of November 29, McLaren driver Lando Norris occupies first place in the Formula 1 drivers' standings with 396 points. His teammate Oscar Piastri is second with 374 points. Red Bull driver Max Verstappen rounds out the top three with 371 points.
