Lewis Hamilton, the seven-time Formula 1 champion, has signed with Ferrari for the 2025 and 2026 seasons, with an option to extend through 2027, FormulaPassion reports, citing La Gazzetta dello Sport journalist Luigi Perna.
According to the source, Hamilton will be able to decide on the extension himself, regardless of results and without needing Ferrari’s approval. The Italian manufacturer is reportedly satisfied with its cooperation with the British driver.
At the moment Hamilton sits sixth in the drivers’ standings with 109 points. The leader is McLaren’s Oscar Piastri, who has 284 points.
