The decision was made by Oliver Mintzlaff. This was the result of various factors, but above all, the performance wasn’t quite as good as it could have been. There is no Verstappen faction, no Austrian or Thai faction.
In early July, British executive Christian Horner was officially relieved of his duties as the head of the Austrian team.
Horner, 51, led Red Bull from 2005 to 2025, during which time the team won the Constructors' Championship six times.
Laurent Mekies, who previously held the same position at Racing Bulls, has been appointed as the new team principal.
Earlier, former Formula 1 driver and expert Christijan Albers suggested that Helmut Marko may have orchestrated Christian Horner's departure from Red Bull.
