Tsunoda Faces 10-Position Penalty at Canadian Grand Prix

Ahead of the Canadian Grand Prix, two drivers received penalties. Yuki Tsunoda will drop 10 places on the starting grid. Investigations into incidents that occurred during the third practice and qualifying sessions for the Canadian Grand Prix have concluded.

Specifically, Yuki Tsunoda, a driver for Red Bull, was penalized for overtaking Oscar Piastri under red flag conditions during the third practice session. As a result, he will lose 10 positions at the start. Given that the Japanese driver qualified in 11th place, he will now start from the very back of the grid.

Additionally, Isaac Hadjar from Racing Bulls received a penalty based on the qualifying session results. He impeded Carlos Sainz from Williams during the session, which will cost him three positions on the starting grid.

Consequently, he will begin the race from 12th place. The winner of the qualifying session for the Canadian Grand Prix was George Russell.
