Verstappen Matches His Worst Result Since 2019

Red Bull driver Max Verstappen has failed to make it into the top three in the recent Formula 1 races. In the Austrian Grand Prix, he finished the race early, took fifth place in the British race, and came in fourth at the Belgian Grand Prix.

This string of disappointing results without a podium finish hasn’t happened for the four-time Formula 1 champion since the fall of 2019. Back then, he finished fourth at the Russian Grand Prix, retired from the race in Japan, and took sixth place in the Mexican Grand Prix.

Currently, Verstappen holds third place in the driver standings with 185 points. Leading the championship is Oscar Piastri from the McLaren team, boasting 266 points.
