Red Bull driver Max Verstappen wrote on his social media that he received from the German motorsport federation a license that allows him to compete in endurance races of the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie (NLS).
The driver said he enjoyed the Nürburgring Nordschleife and liked running several stints in a race where you have to fight through traffic.

I drove in the wet, the dry and in mixed conditions. I’ve gained experience in where the grip is and isn’t and completed a start procedure. It was really good to gain more experience on this circuit. To contest a 24-hour race here, in a GT3 car, would be amazing.
As of September 14, Verstappen sits third in the Formula 1 drivers’ standings with 230 points. Lando Norris of McLaren is second with 293 points. Oscar Piastri, also of McLaren, leads the standings with 324 points.
