58-Year-Old Japanese Midfielder Miura to Begin 41st Professional Season

58-year-old Japanese midfielder Kazuyoshi Miura will join J3 League side Fukushima United on a one-year loan deal, according to Japan Today.

The upcoming campaign will mark the 41st season of Miura’s professional career. Throughout his lengthy journey, he has represented clubs like Santos and Genoa. In the 2025 season, he played for Atletico Suzuka, making seven appearances across all competitions.

Miura scored 55 goals in 89 caps for the Japanese national team, helping the side win the Asian Cup in 1992.

Fukushima finished the 2025 J3 League season in 10th place with 56 points. Tochigi City claimed the title (77 points), followed by Vanraure Hachinohe (72) and FC Osaka (71).
