A 14-year-old dies in a clash between French and Moroccan fans in Montpellier

RMC Sport reports that a 14-year-old boy died in Montpellier after a clash between French and Moroccan fans (2-0) after the semifinal match of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

According to a source, enraged Moroccan fans tried to pull the French flag off a car in Montpellier after the defeat of their team. The driver suddenly moved away to avoid a conflict, but didn't notice the teenager, who fell under the wheels of the car. The boy later died in hospital.

The French team is the second finalist for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar and will play against Argentina. The Moroccans will face a third-place match against Croatia. Matches will be held on December 18 and 17, respectively, both games will start at 18:00 GMT+3.
