On Tuesday, September 23, Real Madrid defeated Levante 4-1 in the sixth round of La Liga. This marked Real Madrid’s sixth consecutive win to start the Spanish league season.
Head coach Xabi Alonso is the first to achieve this feat with Real Madrid in the past 20 years. Before him, only Vanderlei Luxemburgo managed a perfect start as a new Real coach back in 2005.
Alonso took charge of Real Madrid this summer with a contract running through 2028.
After six rounds, Real lead La Liga with 18 points. Their next match will be an away game against Atletico Madrid on September 27 at 17:15 GMT+3.
