The Telegraph reports that Manchester United head coach Rúben Amorim plans to discuss his future with club officials during the September international break, which begins next week.
According to the source, the Portuguese manager views the upcoming Premier League Round 3 match against Burnley on Saturday, August 30, as the season’s turning point. He believes that this game will show whether Manchester United is moving in the right direction under his leadership.
On Wednesday, August 27, Manchester United were knocked out of the English League Cup, losing on penalties to fourth-tier side Grimsby Town (2–2 after normal time, 11–12 on penalties). Amorim has been United’s head coach since November 2024.
Earlier The Guardian reported that some Red Devils players have expressed doubts about the Portuguese coach’s tactical approaches and his ability to manage the squad efficiently.
