Amorim Wanted to Leave Man Utd Two Months After Appointment

Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim was planning to leave the club two months after his appointment, as reported by ESPN.

According to the source, the Portuguese specialist was so disappointed with the situation at the club that he wanted to leave his post in January. However, his assistants talked him out of this step.

Recall that Ruben Amorim took charge of Manchester United in November 2024.

At the moment the team is in 16th place in the EPL. However, despite the difficulties in the domestic championship, the Red Devils reached the final of the UEFA Europa League, where on May 21 in Bilbao they will face Tottenham.

According to media reports, the Portuguese coach will not be fired even in case of defeat.

Earlier, the 40-year-old Portuguese said that he aims to win the EPL title with the Red Devils.
