Billy Vigar, a forward trained at Arsenal’s academy and currently playing for a Premier Division club in the English Isthmian Football League (level 7), has been placed in an induced coma, the club announced.
On September 20, the 21-year-old striker suffered a traumatic brain injury after hitting his head on a concrete wall during a league match against Wingate & Finchley and was unable to continue. He faces a long rehabilitation.
Vigar joined Chichester City in August 2025. Besides Arsenal’s youth team, he played for Derby County’s reserves and Eastbourne Borough in the National League South (level 6).
