Bournemouth's central defender Dean Huijsen is set to sign a contract with Real Madrid until 2030. The 20-year-old player will finalize the agreement on May 22 after passing a medical examination, according to AS.
According to the source, Huijsen's initial salary will be 9 million euros per season but could increase to 11 million euros based on his performance.
Premier League clubs interested in the defender were prepared to offer him a higher salary. However, Real Madrid management convinced the player and his team of the advantages of joining their club.
Huijsen has been with Bournemouth since July 2024. He has played a total of 34 matches for the club, scoring three goals and providing one assist. His contract with the English club runs until the summer of 2030. The Spanish player's transfer value is estimated by Transfermarkt to be around 42 million euros.
Earlier reports indicated that Real Madrid's management is targeting three players to strengthen their midfield.
