Barcelona intend to continue negotiations with Liverpool for the transfer of Colombian player Luis Diaz, according to insider Fabrizio Romano on social media.
Liverpool previously rejected offers from both Barcelona and Bayern Munich for this player. However, following the failure of the Nico Williams transfer from Athletic Bilbao, Barcelona have decided to renew their efforts to acquire Diaz.
Diaz has been with Liverpool since January 2022, appearing in 148 matches, scoring 41 goals, and providing 23 assists. His contract with the English club runs until summer 2027. The transfer value of the 28-year-old Colombian is estimated at €70 million by Transfermarkt.
Earlier reports stated that Barcelona defender Andreas Christensen does not wish to leave the club.
