Barcelona defender Alejandro Balde will miss the rest of this season due to a hamstring injury, The Athletic reports.
This season, the Barça Academy graduate has played 28 games in all competitions, scoring one goal and making one assist.
In the 23rd minute of the Spanish Cup semi-final meeting against Athletic (Bilbao) Balde left the field because of an injury. The player will need surgery after a recent check-up.
The Cup meeting ended with a score of 4:2 in favor of Athletic. Balde is a graduate of the Blaugrana academy. This fall he signed a contract with the club until 2028 with a release fee of one billion euro.
