Barcelona’s appeal regarding the suspension of head coach Hans-Dieter Flick was denied, reports the Spanish publication AS.
The German coach will not be able to sit on the bench for the upcoming 10th round La Liga match against Real Madrid scheduled for Sunday, October 26.
The disciplinary body of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) upheld Flick’s red card received during the ninth round La Liga match against Girona (2-1), rejecting the Catalan club’s protest.
In the current season, Real Madrid lead the Spanish championship. Real Madrid (24 points) hold a two-point advantage over Barcelona (22 points), which occupy second place in the standings.
