According to Marca, La Liga club Barcelona does not plan to recruit right-back Denzel Dumfries from Serie A's Inter Milan and the Netherlands national team.
Reports suggest that Barcelona's management is not considering options for signing new players for the right side of defense. The primary player in that position remains 26-year-old Frenchman Jules Koundé, and the coaching staff is also counting on homegrown talent, 18-year-old Spanish player Héctor Fort.
Previously, it was reported that 29-year-old Dumfries, a silver medalist in the UEFA Nations League 2019 and a bronze medalist at Euro 2024 with the Netherlands national team, could leave Inter for a fee of 25 million euros.
Dumfries has been with the Milan club since August 2021, holding a contract with Inter until the end of June 2028. In the 2024/2025 season, he played 29 matches in Serie A, scoring seven goals and providing three assists, as well as participated in 12 UEFA Champions League matches (2 goals, 3 assists). Transfermarkt estimates Dumfries at 35 million euros.
