According to the Daily Mail, Barcelona's prospects of turning Marcus Rashford's loan from Manchester United into a permanent deal have diminished.
La Liga cut Barcelona’s salary cap for 2025-26 from €463 million to €351 million, reportedly due to a contentious financing scheme linked to VIP areas at Camp Nou. Due to the lowered limit, Barcelona will probably need funding or player sales before offering Rashford a long-term contract.
Rashford joined on loan this summer. He has played five matches in all competitions for Barcelona, scoring two goals and providing one assist. Transfermarkt estimates him at €50 million.
