The upcoming transfer of 22-year-old winger Ansu Fati from Barcelona to Monaco on loan has been confirmed by the president of the Catalan club, Joan Laporta.
If all goes well, we'll have good news this week and he'll go to Monaco.
It was previously reported that Fati was scheduled for a medical examination on June 25 ahead of finalizing the contract. The transfer is expected to be structured as a loan with a purchase option after the player extended his contract with Barcelona.
Fati is a product of the Barcelona youth academy and has been with the first team since September 2020. He has played 123 matches, scored 29 goals, and provided eight assists. The Transfermarkt website estimates the Spaniard at 5 million euros.
It was also reported that the Catalans intend to sign not only Athletic Bilbao forward Nico Williams but also to loan Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford.
