Barcelona have established a new club record by selling 70,000 jerseys with winger Lamine Yamal's name in just 24 hours after he changed his playing number to 10.
According to internal estimates, these sales have generated approximately €10 million for the Catalan club, as reported by COPE.
The source cites that the commercial success exceeded all of Barcelona's predictions. Jerseys with the number 10 and Yamal's name have been shipped to over 170 countries worldwide.
It’s reported that the Catalans recorded the highest volume of jersey sales in a single day in the club's history, surpassing previous records set by former stars Lionel Messi and Neymar.
Yamal, an 18-year-old graduate of the club’s youth academy, La Masia, has been part of the first team since July 2023. He has played a total of 106 matches, scoring 25 goals and providing 34 assists.
Earlier, it was announced that a mural was created in Barcelona to celebrate Yamal's 18th birthday, depicting the player as Superman.
