La Liga president Javier Tebas announced the date for the match between Villarreal and Barcelona, which will take place in Miami, USA. UEFA had previously granted permission to hold this La Liga fixture match abroad.
However, the organization confirmed its disagreement with holding domestic league matches outside their home countries on a permanent basis.
Tebas stated that the 17th round La Liga match between Villarreal and Barcelona will be held in Miami on December 20.
The Blaugrana are currently second in the Primera Division standings with 19 points, while Villarreal are third with 16 points.
