The press service of Bayer Leverkusen has announced the departure of Erik ten Hag from his position as head coach. The specialist took charge of the team in May 2025 but lasted only a few months.
In the opening rounds of the Bundesliga, the team managed to earn just one point from two matches. Bayer's next match in the German championship is scheduled for September 12 at home against Eintracht Frankfurt.
Previously, ten Hag worked with Manchester United and Ajax. With the English club, he won the FA Cup and the League Cup, while with the Amsterdam team, he secured the national championship.
