Bayern Munich have submitted a formal protest to UEFA regarding a directive issued by the Paris Prefecture of Police ahead of the clubs’ UEFA Champions League league phase Matchday 4 encounter, scheduled for November 4 at Paris’s Parc des Princes stadium between Bayern and Paris Saint-Germain.
The directive regulates fan arrivals and establishes a police-controlled checkpoint. It applies to all buses carrying away-team supporters and requires them to assemble at a designated toll point outside the city before the match.
Additionally, the order stipulates that all other Bayern Munich supporters must reach the stadium exclusively via public transportation. After the match concludes, all fans must return to their vehicles, after which the buses will be escorted out of the city under police supervision.
The German club considers these police measures unwarranted and untimely. Notably, PSG’s management has expressed support for Bayern’s position on this matter.
Currently, Bayern sit second in the UEFA Champions League league phase standings with nine points, while the Parisian powerhouse occupies first place in the overall league table with the same number of points.
